The Depot is a great place for all kinds of public and private functions, from wedding receptions to company holiday parties, anniversaries, big birthday bashes, talks and conferences, retirement parties, fundraisers, and more.  Guests love the central location, the beautiful architecture and courtyard, the capacious main room, convenient parking, the options for dance floor, kitchen, and bar area, -- and the rich history visible down to the terrazo ornamentation inside.  If you'd like to hold your event at this popular place, here's a little basic information.

The facility typically becomes available from after we take down the museum displays in mid-September into the earliest part of May.  As things book fairly quickly, it's well to be in touch as far in advance as you can nail down the dates you can work with; our phone is (406) 222-2300; the fax is 222-2401, but you must call us first).  Weekends are the most popular, but if one's not available, remember weekdays are an option too.  (During the summer months it is possible to rent the Depot Rotary Park or event the courtyard, but please call us to discuss the particulars.)  

Once you know your dates, we can provide a rental agreement form and other general information.  The basic rental is $500/day (small discount available for nonprofits), plus extra charges for things like kitchen use ($100, strongly suggested if a caterer is working onsite), providing a dance floor ($50), and an hourly rate for the staff person who has to be onsite outside of business hours.  There's no time charge if you set up or decorate during normal office hours (10-4 weekdays during the off-season), but the hourly rate would apply to anything outside of that (if possible, please try to combine bands' or caterers' visits so we're not here a full day beforehand).  Once you sketch out the floor plan, we'll usually set out tables and chairs as part of the package. 

We do not list private functions on the website calendar here, so please do not take it as a guide for availability:  call us instead.  This website information should be current, but please read and rely on the rental agreement for all specifics.  Most further questions are answered on the printed information we provide you once you contact us (we can suggest a few caterers, but we won't recommend one over another).

THE LIVINGSTON DEPOT CENTER

The Livingston Depot Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of residents of Livingston and surrounding, communities, and tourists to the Yellowstone area by (1) restoring, preserving and protecting the historic Northern Pacific depot, now a community cultural center--The Livingston Depot Center; (2) presenting and promoting the visual and performing arts, culture, history of the Yellowstone Region, and educational programs in the arts and humanities; and (3) promoting community involvement, tourism and economic development through the operation and use of the Livingston Depot Center.
