Anglers Against Weeds Program Anglers Against Weeds Program: Through the Fly Fishing Discovery Center the FFF has undertaken an awareness and education program that is being pointed to as a model of the type of effort that can make a difference. The "Anglers Against Weeds" program is designed to educate anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts about the threat that noxious weeds pose to our habitats. Funded by the Montana Noxious Weed Control Board, this program is beginning to show that anglers do care about exotics and are interested in being part of the solution. The presence of exotic non-native species is wreaking havoc on our environment around the country. From coast to coast, North to South, non-native invaders are threatening our natural ecosystems. These invaders range from plants to fish to parasites, but all are having a negative impact on our native flora and fauna. As an organization that has a long history of fighting for our environment the FFF has taken strong positions against many of these non-native invaders and in the future we will increase our efforts to educate and oppose these unwelcome species. Man is responsible for the spread of these exotics and we must be a part of the solution. For more information about the program contact the Matt Wilhelm at 406-222-9369 or iffc@wtp.net.
